I recently had a biopsy performed by Dr Ouwenga, Memorial Hospital’s urologist. He is a fantastic physician with outstanding surgical skills. He also keeps up with (and quotes) modern practice protocols which I found reassuring. Very satisfied with the care I received at Memorial Hospital.

I'm from out of town and had a medical emergency that required me to stay, I have to say that the people and facilities here are the best. You are very fortunate to have this facility in your town . Everyone here treated me with kindness and respect. Thank you for helping me in my time of need. Simply the greatest small hospital I've ever been to, and the food is good too!

Great Hospital and staff ! Very clean facilities. Been there many times myself for my chronic pain and pretty much lived there between both of my elderly parents who suffer from heart / breathing issues . Doctors can be straight forward but professional and caring . Definitely recommend! I seen they had a couple bad reviews.. I say go and judge them for yourself .

I recently fell and knew I needed to go to the ER. In arriving at Memorial Hospital in Carthage I was quickly taken to a room and the process began on finding out if I broke my wrist. The pain was severe and it took less than 15 minutes to check me in and talk with the attending physician. He immediately addressed my pain. The imaging department came to me to take the X-ray. Less than an hour it was determined i had a broken wrist, I was feeling much better due to pain control. They set up an appoimtment in order to have a cast the following week. All staff were kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and efficient. For follow up I set up appointments at Memorial Meducal with a speciality clinic. We are blessed to have Memorial Hospital offering quality local health care. Happy customer!

I’ve been here now in the ER for several hours with my 91 year old mom. They got right to work listening to us and running tests! We know what’s wrong and they’re going to take care of it now! They treated my mom with respect! My mom is a “go get her” and everyone here treated her that way. Another nameless ER looks at her age and not much gets done! Thank you everyone who had a hand in my mom’s care today and through the next couple days! I appreciate what you do!

I recently went to the Memorial Medical Clinic in Bowen and received the best care I have yet to experience in a doctor's office. From the receptionist getting me in to be seen the same day, to the quick check-in process, to the nurses greeting me with a smile and thoroughly going over what I was needing to be seen for, and finally the provider (Shellie Wear) showing care and concern for me and giving me the best treatment plan, I have no complaints. I would recommend this clinic to anyone. Thank you MMC and all the wonderful staff there!

Half way through my pregnancy, we switched to Memorial hospital and clinic in Carthage and it was the best decision I could’ve made! Dr. Jones took such good care of me and when it came time for my induction, the nurses made me so comfortable and supported me through the entire stay and process! They included my boyfriend/child’s father in everything, always made sure I had everything I could possibly need and took such good care of our son when we needed any help! I can’t imagine going anywhere else and I know if we ever decide to have more children, Memorial will be our first choice! I can’t recommend enough! <333

Recently my husband had a kidney stone attack, and I needed to take him to an emergency room. We are so glad we chose Memorial Hospital’s ER. We had great care from the nurses, lab technicians, and doctors. Everyone treated us with respect and dignity from the time we entered the ER until we were transferred to Quincy for surgery. The whole staff worked diligently and quickly to diagnose and treat his condition. How fortunate our little county is to have such a wonderful hospital with caring professionals close to home!

I have been to their ER over the past several years and I have always had “top notch” care! Whether I seen a nurse or doctor, they’ve always listened to me and was very attentive to my needs! I highly recommend them to anyone!

I Recently had a 90 year old family member admitted with a serious infection and near death. The treatment and care he received from all the nursing staff and Dr Byrd was amazing. He can be a difficult patient when he’s sick but the staff was very attentive and patient with him. The staff was also very hospitable to the entire family visiting. He felt comfortable and Based on his experience with other hospitals this was far the best. I highly recommend this hospital . T Stine
